Pranic Healing for Shift Workers: Reset the Clock
Shift work asks the body to do something it was never built to do: produce a full day’s output on a body clock that moves every few weeks. Most shift workers learn to live with the fatigue, because sleep and coffee only reach part of the problem.
Pranic healing works on the part sleep does not reach — the energy body, which keeps running the old roster long after the roster has changed.
Why the Fatigue Does Not Clear on a Day Off
You finish four nights, you sleep, and by the second day off you expect to feel human again. Instead the sleep is shallow, you wake at four wide awake, and by early afternoon you are flat. Nothing is wrong with your discipline. The pattern is still in the system.
The energy body is slower to move than the nervous system. It holds the shape of the last block — the adrenal edge that keeps you upright at 3am, the tension across the head and chest that never quite unwinds. When the roster changes, that shape stays put and keeps producing the same output.
It shows up in consistent ways:
- Waking at 4am alert, then crashing mid-afternoon
- A dull pressure behind the eyes that arrives on the third or fourth night
- No appetite at normal meal times, then hunger at the wrong end of the day
- Irritability on the first day off that has nothing to do with anyone in the house
- A spaced-out feeling on the drive home that is more than tiredness
What a Session Actually Does
A session is no-touch and fully clothed. You sit or lie down, and I work through the energy field around and through the body — scanning for where it is dense, stuck or depleted, then cleansing what has built up before energising what has run down.
It tends to concentrate in three places: the field around the head, where the wired-but-exhausted feeling sits; the chest, where the tension of holding it together accumulates; and the lower back and legs, which carry the load of standing or driving across irregular hours.
On colour: white light is the general cleansing light; green where the work is about clearing density built up over a long stretch; golden where the aim is to rebuild after broken sleep.
Timing a Session Around the Roster
The most useful thing you can do is not book in the middle of a run of nights — partway through a block, unwinding works against you. Two windows work better:
- The transition day — the day you come off a block, before the body locks into the new pattern
- The second day off, once you have had one proper sleep and the field has begun to settle
For fly-in fly-out workers and anyone whose swing takes them away from Sydney, sessions run by distance just as well — you do not need to be in the room. Do Distance Pranic Healing Sessions Actually Work? explains it, and what you need to do on your end is very little.
Signs Your Energy Body Has Not Caught Up
The difference between ordinary tiredness and the drag of a roster that never settles is obvious once it is named:
- You sleep reasonable hours but wake unrefreshed more days than not
- Your pattern resets within two days of coming off a block, then falls apart again
- You feel a low background anxiety on the days you are rostered off
- Caffeine has stopped changing how you feel
- You have started dreading the swing before it begins
If several land, sessions work best spaced across a roster cycle rather than used as a rescue after a bad month. How Often Should You Have Pranic Healing? covers a sensible rhythm, and How to Prepare for a Pranic Healing Session That Works covers the hours before you arrive.
What Changes, and What Does Not
Being straight with you: this does not replace sleep, and it does not fix a roster. On permanent nights with four hours of broken sleep a day, nothing makes that sustainable. What it offers is a way out of a block that does not drag for days.
What people tend to describe afterwards is a shift in the first day or two off rather than during the block itself — they report sleeping more heavily, the early-hours waking losing its hold, and the first day off no longer feeling like a write-off. Those are reports from people I have worked with, not predictions about your case.
Sessions run in person in Sydney, seven days a week between 8am and 8pm, and by distance anywhere in Australia. The services page sets out what a first session involves, and you can get in touch to find a time that fits your roster.
If shift work has been running your body for years, start with one session on a transition day.
