What Happens in a Pranic Healing Session?

If you have never had one, the question is simple: what actually happens? No needles, no massage, no crystals. You stay fully clothed, lying down, while the healer’s hands work through your energy field. Here is exactly how a session with me runs, step by step.

Before the Healing Starts

Every session begins with a short conversation. You tell me what is going on — physical pain, stress, anxiety, poor sleep, a relationship, low energy — and I ask a few questions to understand where things feel stuck. This is not an interrogation; it is a briefing so the healing can be targeted at what you actually need.

  • You stay fully clothed and lie on a treatment table, or sit if you prefer
  • Nothing is removed and nothing is applied to the skin
  • Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, including the consultation

Then the work begins.

The Healing Itself, Step by Step

Pranic healing works on the energy body — the invisible layer around and inside your physical body. Using no-touch techniques from the International Institute of Pranic Healing, I work with your energy field the way a physio works with muscles.

  • Scanning: my hands pass a few centimetres above you, reading where the energy feels congested, heavy, depleted or blocked
  • Cleansing: I sweep away the stale, congested energy — like clearing a blocked pipe — using coloured light suited to the problem
  • Energising: fresh prana is drawn in and directed into the areas that need it, giving your body the fuel to repair itself

There is no touching, no pressure, no manipulation. Most people are surprised at how much they feel anyway. You can read more about the services and techniques I offer if you want the detail.

What You Feel During and After

Everyone experiences it differently, but the common thread is deep relaxation. Most people describe warmth or tingling where the hands are working, a sense of lightness, and often a drop in mental chatter within the first few minutes.

  • Warmth, tingling, or a gentle pulsing in the body
  • A feeling of heaviness lifting, especially around the head, shoulders and chest
  • Deep calm — many clients say it is the first time in weeks their mind goes quiet
  • Occasionally an emotional release; if you feel like crying, that is normal and useful

After the session, drink plenty of water and take it easy for the rest of the day. Most people feel clearer and lighter, and sleep noticeably better that night.

How Many Sessions Do You Need?

One session helps, but healing builds. For most issues I recommend a short course of three to four sessions about a week apart, so the energy field holds the improvements. After that, many clients book a maintenance session once a month — the way you would see a physio for a tune-up.

And you do not need to be in Sydney. Sessions are available in person at Macquarie Park, or online as distance healing anywhere in Australia — the energy field does not care about distance. See the blog for more on what pranic healing can help with.

Signs You Are Ready for a Session

Most people know when they have been running on empty for too long. The signs are rarely subtle once you look at them honestly.

  • You wake up tired even after eight hours of sleep, and coffee barely touches it
  • Your shoulders, jaw or lower back are tight most days without a clear physical cause
  • Your mind keeps replaying the same worry, conversation or task long after the day ends
  • You have tried massage, physio or supplements and they helped temporarily — but the pattern keeps returning
  • You feel disconnected, flat, or like you are running on autopilot through your own life

If two or more of those sound familiar, your energy field is probably carrying more than it should. That is exactly the state pranic healing is built to address — and you do not need to understand how it works to feel the difference. For more context on what this kind of healing can do, see the blog.

What to Bring and How to Prepare

There is very little to organise. Wear loose, comfortable clothing — tracksuit pants and a t-shirt are perfect — and have a list of what you want to work on, even if it is just a few words on your phone. Arrive hydrated, and try not to book anything demanding for the hour after your session so the healing can settle.

If we are doing the session online, find a quiet room where you will not be interrupted, and use headphones if you can. Distance healing works on the same energy field, so the preparation is identical either way.

If you are curious whether pranic healing can help with what you are carrying, the fastest way to find out is to book a session and feel the difference yourself. I work seven days a week, 8am to 8pm, and answer every enquiry personally.
