Which Chakra Is for Confidence?

The solar plexus chakra is the one that governs confidence. In pranic healing it is treated as the seat of personal power and self-worth — the centre that decides whether a man holds his ground or folds the moment the room shifts. It sits at the upper abdomen, above the navel, and in most traditions it is shown as yellow.

It is worth being precise about why this chakra and not another. The heart chakra carries how you love, the throat carries how you speak, the third eye carries how you see. The solar plexus carries how much you believe you are allowed to want, and how steadily you act once you have decided.

What the Solar Plexus Chakra Governs

When the energy at this centre is even, confidence stops being a performance and starts being a default. When it is congested, the same abilities are still there, but they only switch on when somebody else is watching.

  • Personal power, the ability to act on what you already know without waiting for permission
  • Self-worth, which is how you price your own time, your work and your presence
  • Will and follow-through, the gap between deciding something and actually doing it
  • Appetite for life, the drive to want things and then go after them
  • The soft place under the ribs where courage and dread both land

If the wider system is new to you, what each chakra does walks through all seven and where each one sits in the body.

Signs the Solar Plexus Chakra Is Out of Balance

Most people feel this centre long before they can name it. The signs are consistent:

  • Confidence that only exists while someone else is confirming it
  • A drop in the stomach when it is time to name your price or hold a boundary
  • Saying yes, then spending the next three days resenting it
  • Decisions that stall for weeks and then get made by default
  • A hollowness under the ribs that stays there even after the win
  • Working twice as hard to feel half as certain

How Pranic Healing Works With It

Pranic healing does not talk the solar plexus into confidence. It works on the energy body directly, and a session is no-touch, fully clothed and about an hour long. The three phases are the same every time:

  • Scanning, reading the energy body at the solar plexus to find where the congestion has settled
  • Sweeping, clearing the used and stagnant energy out of that area, with green prana doing the cleaning work
  • Energising, directing fresh prana back into the cleared space, most often as gold, the colour used for rebuilding

Worth and money sit close together at this centre, which is why the work here often overlaps with pranic healing for prosperity.

The framework behind the scan, the sweep and the energising is set out in how pranic healing works.

What Changes, and What Is Not Claimed

One session does not undo twenty years of playing small, and anyone promising that is selling something. Sessions are usually booked as a short block of three or four, close together, so there is something to compare.

The reports come back in a familiar order. Sleep first, then the mornings, then a moment where a boundary gets held and it does not cost the rest of the day. These are reports rather than promises, and they vary from person to person.

Pranic healing is not a treatment for any medical condition, not a substitute for psychological care, and not a reason to stop or change any medication. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or Lifeline on 13 11 14 first.

Signs You Are Ready to Work on It

  • You have achieved things and still do not feel settled in yourself
  • You notice your confidence tracks whoever happens to be in the room
  • You are tired of the apology that arrives before your opinion does
  • You have tried building confidence from the outside and it has not held
  • You want support that is quiet, hands-off, and does not ask you to rehearse your history
